Moose!

Wildlife sightings abound in the northwoods. From the beaver swimming around Garden Island to Wabun A's disturbance of a sleeping caribou, all of our sections have been excited abou the creatures they have encountered.

Without a doubt, the most impressive sight, either in the water or on land, is that of the moose also known as Alces alces. The video was shot on the road from Pickle Lake after dropping off the Long Trips.

The others were taken by the Cree section on a hot day with this big guy clearly happy to be hanging out in a cool lake. He didn't mind the Crees snapping photos and even followed them on the portage. Too bad he didn't offer to take a load across!
